During Your Flight

Seat Features
Sit in luxury when you fly First Class on Malaysia Airlines. Our wide and comfortable seats offer a selection of adjustments tailored to your comfort. Feel free to recline if you need to take a short snooze or stretch your legs out into the cavernous leg space in front of you.

Your seat also features the controls to your in-flight entertainment system. Your remote unit on your armrest will allow you to choose your movies, music or video games. Your controller also doubles as an air-to-ground phone allowing you to make calls anywhere in the world using your credit card. You can also call other passengers seated on the same aircraft if you know their seat number. In-flight laptop adaptors are available for use for First and Golden Club Class passengers on our B747-400 and B777-200. Meanwhile, sit back and enjoy your flight.

Cuisine Dine in ultimate style on board our First Class. Experience the luxury of dining in the air with a wide selection of gourmet cuisine served on delicate fine china. Sit back and relax to the bouquet of fine wine while savouring your meals.From fine aged cheeses to sweet delectables, Malaysia Airlines will bring you a smorgasbord of the best gourmet cuisine in the skies. On most international flights, you can enjoy Malaysia Airlines' signature dish, satay. These skewers of delicately spiced chicken, beef or lamb are grilled in the traditional manner on a charcoal fire and served with cucumber and onions together with a spicy peanut sauce.

On long haul flights, try something from our SKYSNAX selection should you crave for a bite in between meals. This includes cheese and crackers, chocolates or biscuits and fruit. For the extra special something, our cabin crew would be happy to prepare a fresh sandwich according to your liking.

If you have any special dietary requirements, you can select from a list of Special Meals available. Your request must be made at the time of flight reservations, no less than 24 hours prior to departure time.

At the airport

Check-In
When you travel First Class on Malaysia Airlines, or if you are a member of Enrich Gold, your journey begins on the ground. With your busy travel and business schedules, you will have no time for queues and other worries. Travelling First Class means you can make use of the Telephone Check-in service so that you can take care of last minute business details or do your last minute shopping before heading to the airport.

You can arrive up to half an hour before departure if you do not have any luggage to check in or up to 45 minutes before your flight leaves if you have check-in baggage. When you arrive at the airport, your boarding passes will be waiting for you. Just look out for the red carpet at our First Class or Golden Club Class check-in counters.

Baggage Service
As a First Class passenger on Malaysia Airlines, your baggage allowance is 40 kilograms. If you are part of the Enrich Gold Frequent Flyer Membership programme, you will be entitled to a baggage allowance of additional 50% over and above your class of travel bringing your total baggage allowance to 60 kilograms. When checking in, kindly present your Enrich Gold Card to benefit from the extra 50% baggage allowance.If you are travelling to/from North America you are entitled to one additional bag. First Class passengers are entitled to carry up to two pieces of hand luggage into the aircraft cabin. Each item should weigh no more than 5 kilograms and should be easily stowable beneath your seat or in the overhead storage compartment. Your luggage, when measured together, must not exceed 115 centimetres or 45 inches.

Premier Lane
For speedy immigration clearance, Malaysia Airlines invites First and Business Class passengers to use the Premier Lane for departure and arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, KLIA.

Invitation cards for the Premier Lane are given to the First Class, Golden Club Class passengers and Enrich members at the check-in counter for departing passengers ex-KUL.

Golden Lounges
As a First Class passenger with Malaysia Airlines, you will also have exclusive access to any of the Golden Lounges strategically located around the world from Kuala Lumpur to Los Angeles. Come in and relieve yourself from the stresses of modern travel and hectic schedules. Being a First Class passenger on board Malaysia Airlines definitely has its privileges.

When checking in, First and Golden Club Class passengers and Enrich Gold members will be issued invitation cards to a Malaysia Airlines' Golden Lounge. There are two such lounges at KLIA; the Golden Lounge Satellite at the Satellite Building caters to international travellers; and the Golden Lounge Domestic at the Contact Pier is for domestic travellers.

The perfect place to relax Luggage checked in. Boarding pass in hand. Now, all there is to do is unwind before you depart for your next destination. And the Golden Lounge is just the place. The moment you step through the doors of the Golden Lounge, you will be greeted with a Malaysian smile. Check your coat and carry-on in the cloakroom, pass through the reception, and you are in an elegant and spacious interior, masterfully designed for comfort and relaxation. The Relaxation Room at the Satellite Golden Lounge has been redesigned and refurbished with award-winning Massage Chairs and Foot Massagers. The enhancements also include both the First Class Lounge and Domestic Golden Lounge, which now feature a more aesthetic and relaxing ambience incorporating the spa chair concept, arguably, the first of its kind in Malaysia. Even the restrooms have been newly renovated!
