Qantas Club lounge

As a Qantas Club member flying domestically within Australia and New Zealand, you may invite one guest to join you in a Qantas Club lounge whenever you visit. Your guests need not be travelling.

Platinum members flying domestically in Australia or New Zealand are welcome to bring up to two guests into The Qantas Club whenever you visit.

There is a limit of one guest per Member per visit in international Qantas Club lounges, joint Qantas/British Airways lounges, partner airline lounges and associated international lounges.

Note: Guests must be accompanied by you at all times and admission is subject to space availability.

Annual Guest Cards

If you would like someone to accompany you to a Qantas Club lounge on a regular basis, you may purchase an Annual Guest Card. Annual Guest Cards are available for purchase by contacting The Firstclass Consultants. Valid for 12 months, your Annual Guest Card allows one additional guest to enter the lounge if accompanied by you. Annual Guest Cards are governed by the terms and conditions of The Qantas Club Program.

Children in lounges

Each child or guest under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult, and we ask that they are closely supervised so as not to disturb other patrons. Platinum or Gold Frequent Flyer members under 18 years of age must also be accompanied by an adult when visiting a Qantas Club lounge. Children may be asked to leave if their behaviour is disruptive. Qantas requests that children do not enter the Business Centre areas or operate any equipment in the lounges or Business Centres. Children are usually welcome in our partner lounges.

Qantas Frequent Flyer membership

As a Qantas Club member, you also have complimentary membership of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.*

* Normally A$82.50. Australian GST inclusive. New Zealand NZ$50.00. Outside these countries, there is no membership fee for joining the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.

Qantas Club members who are also Qantas Frequent Flyers, may use their Frequent Flyer points or Upgrade credits to be upgraded one class on domestic flights within Australia (where space is available) from Discount Economy or Full Economy to Business Class. Priority reservations & waitlisting

Our Qantas Club priority reservations service ensures you always get our most experienced operators and the most efficient service when booking a Qantas flight. Members are given priority on fully booked Qantas flights when travelling on a paid ticket and where waitlisting is possible. Please note, that waitlisting is not available on most discounted Economy airfares.

Dedicated check-in

To help avoid queues, members may use The Qantas Club priority check-in areas available at most airports. If there is no dedicated Qantas Club check-in, you may check in at the Business Class counter prior to any Qantas flight, regardless of your fare class. You must be travelling on a Qantas operated service with a Qantas flight number. If only carrying hand luggage, and travelling on a Qantas* or Jetstar marketed and operated flight, you can also check in at any major domestic Australian or New Zealand Qantas Club lounge.

Note: Lounge check-in for Jetstar is 40 minutes before departure. If you arrive within 40 minutes of scheduled departure, go directly to the Jetstar check-in counter. You need to check-in for Jetstar flights at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure otherwise your ticket will be forfeited. No refund or free transfer is available. You will be required to book and pay for a new ticket if you wish to travel.

* Qantas operated aircraft with a 'QF' flight number on your ticket only. Excludes QantasLink services operated by turboprop aircraft (Dash 8's and Beechcroft).

Priority baggage handling & allowances

Your baggage will be given Priority tags when you check in for Australian and New Zealand domestic services, operated by Qantas and QantasLink. Members may also check in one extra piece of baggage on Qantas operated Australian domestic services* and New Zealand 737 domestic services, and an additional 10kg of baggage^ on international services which are marketed and operated by Qantas.

* Excluding QantasLink services operated by turboprop aircraft (Dash 8's and Beechcraft) ^ There is a maximum weight of 32kg for any one piece of baggage on the domestic or international network. One piece on flights between USA and Australia. Size restrictions apply. Qantas Club extra baggage allowance is not additional to Platinum, Gold or Silver Frequent Flyers' extra baggage allowance.

Flight announcements

In most lounges, you're kept up to date with all flight details via conveniently located monitors. A final boarding call* is also made from reception.

* Flight announcements may not be available at some partner airline or associated lounges.
