Kiroro would have to be classed as one of the most modern and comfortable ski resorts in Japan. This recently completed and extremely well planned world class resort offers just about everything for a great ski vacation. The resort itself is situated about 40kms west of Sapporo, close to the picturous seasidetown of Otaru. Skiing and snowboarding at Kiroro is extremely enjoyable , with a super fast lift system providing access to wide-open runs, and a variety of terrain well suited to beginners and intermediates. The resort has a well-designed lift network making it easy to get around the hill with a minimum of lift rides.

Kiroro is a fantastic family resort with their needs extremely well catered for. Kids ski school, great child minding center and plenty of off mountain activities to keep the whole family entertained. There are plenty of alpine alternatives including snowmobiling, backcountry tours, telemarking, tubing and Japanese pottery classes! A short bus ride away is Otaru and Sapporo for those interested in sightseeing shopping and dining. If you are in Hokkaido between the 7-14th February the Sapporo Ice Festival is a must see.
