This newly built villa has been constructed in a traditional style by its architect owner. It is situated on the outskirts of the village of Melidoni, just 500 metres away from shops, yet with beautiful countryside and mountain views. The vilage of Melidoni has several lively traditional cafes, a taverna and a mini-market. Situated almost mid-way between Rethymnon and Heraklion, it is convenient for exploring some of the well known sights of Crete, including the Knossos Palace and the Samaria Gorge. The village of Perama, 3 kms away has a good selection of shops, banks, post office and chemist. The fishing village of Panormo is 10 kilometres away, where there is also a sandy beach.

The house is surrounded by a garden with fruit and olive trees, flower beds and an organic vegetable garden. Guests are welcome to use fresh fruit and vegetables when available. There is also a swimming pool (10.5 x 4.8m.) with a separate shallow children’s pool, and surrounded by a sun terrace furnished with sun loungers. An outdoor dining area is furnished with table and chairs and a large built-in barbecue.

The interiors are well furnished in bright Mediterranean colours and equipped with central heating/air conditioning, satellite television, DVD, CD player, radio and internet connection. There are also two bicycles at the property. There are four bedrooms, two on the ground floor and two on the first floor. Together with two sofa-beds in the living room, the house can accommodate up to 10 people. Together with its wonderful outdoor facilities, it offers very comfortable accommodation for one or two families. Baby cots available.
