This very imposing ancient manor house is situated in the countryside approximately 14 kilometres to the west of Aix en Provence and just 500 metres from the village of Ventabren. There are several good restaurants in the area, including La Marelle in the village of Eguilles. Coudoux, 1 kilometre away, is renowned for its excellent olive oil, which can be found for sale in the village cooperative market building. A small canal runs along one side of the property, with a bridge which leads to the main gates and property entrance.

The house is approached on the north side by a driveway bordered with cypress trees. From the entrance to the house, a door leads through an immense hallway which leads through to the front of the house, and out to a large terrace, partly covered and providing an outdoor living and dining space. Double stairs lead from here down to the exquisite garden filled with trees, flowers, statues and ornamental ivy. There is ample garden furniture and a trellis covered with roses and jasmine. In the rear garden is a bean-shaped swimming pool, surrounded by lawn and cypress trees, and protected for young children by a radar detection system. However, access to the pool is by steep stairs, not recommended for young, unsupervised children.

The very spacious rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished and there is a great sense of atmosphere, with high heavily beamed ceilings, chandeliers, large decorative mirrors and statues, fireplaces and tapestries. The original curved stone staircase leading from the ground to first floor is quite steep and not recommended for very young children, or the very elderly.

Very large hallway. Library/TV room with fireplace. Beautiful living room, separated from the huge dining room by an archway, and opening to the front terrace with views over the garden. Kitchen, also opening to the terrace. Modern new kitchen equipment includes a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and professional gas oven. Guest WC.

First Floor
Master double bedroom. 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom. 2 fully equipped bathrooms, one with bath and shower and the other with bath (with shower over). Both bathrooms have double basins and WCs.
