Day 01 Arrive Johannesburg

Arrive Johannesburg. A personal welcome to the safari gateway of Southern Africa. Assistance to your airport hotel.

Day 02 Johannesburg-Maun

Early this morning make your own way back to the international terminal. Your flight takes you to the northern regions of Botswana, where you connect by light aircraft into the heart of the waterways of the Okavango Delta. Time to settle into your safari surrounds, before heading out on your first afternoon adventure (B,L,D).

Day 03 Design Your Day Okavango Delta

A day to discover the beauty of the Okavango Delta. Choose how you wish to explore with the following activities. Take a morning or afternoon game drive on the open plains, where wildlife such as buffalo, elephant, giraffe or even lion, leopard and cheetah may be sighted. Take to the waterways and experience the solitude of the Delta by mokoro (a dug-out canoe) as your safari guide gently poles you through the channels. A guided safari walk is a must in this area of the Delta. Allow your safari guide to introduce you to the smaller creatures of the bush. Meet the semi habituated elephants - Jabu, Thembi and Morula and spend a morning learning and observing the animals up close in their natural environment (B,L,D).

Day 04 Okavango Delta

Fly across the Delta to Chief’s Camp, situated in the world renowned Mombo Concession, within the Moremi Game Reserve (B,L,D).

Days 05-06 Design Your Days Okavango Delta

Two days of further exploration of the spectacular Okavango Delta, where you choose from morning and afternoon game drives. Your expert safari guide will introduce you to some of the resident lion prides, and (hopefully!) provide photographic opportunities of rhino, leopard, giraffe, elephant, buffalo, zebra, antelope and a large variety of bird species for those keen birders. Your stay at Chief’s Camp includes a private presentation on the unique wetland system of the Okavango Delta for a greater understanding of this immense waterway (B,L,D).

Day 07 Okavango Delta-Chobe National Park

Leave the wetlands and fly into the semi-arid Chobe National Park (B,L,D).

Day 08 Design Your Day Chobe National Park

Today choose how you wish to experience your stay at Chobe. Take a morning or afternoon game drive within the park, taking in the diverse landscape. A visit to the local A&K supported Plateau Primary School allows you to meet the local community or you may choose to take the highly recommended afternoon boat safari on the Chobe River, watch the elephants venture down to drink and bathe as the sun sets. Optional: luxuriate in your surrounds and have a pampering spa treatment in the privacy of your cottage (B,L,D).

Day 09 Chobe National Park-Kasane or Victoria Falls

Say ‘good-bye’ to Botswana as your safari ends with a transfer to Kasane airport or Victoria Falls airport (B).

Today travel across the border to Victoria Falls with your choice of accommodation at the historic Victoria Falls Hotel or Sussi & Chuma, located on the Zambian side of the Falls (B).

Day 10 Victoria Falls

For those choosing the Victoria Falls Hotel, your stay includes a Private Walking Tour of the Zimbabwe side of the Falls and a Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi River. For those staying at Sussi & Chuma, you are treated to a flight from Kasane to Livingstone, all meals included, with a choice of the following activities - a guided tour of the Zambian side of the Falls, a visit to the Semonga Village, game drives in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, boat safaris, fishing or visits to Livingstone (B).

Day 11 Depart Victoria Falls

This morning transfer to the airport for your onward flight (B).

Insider Access

During the school term, visit the A&K sponsored Plateau Primary School in Kasane. This is a chance to really interact with the local community, particularly the school children, and is a highlight on any visit to Botswana. A&K commits a donation to the school on your behalf as part of your stay at Chobe Chilwero, reflecting our responsible tourism philosophy.
