Itinerary
Day 01 Arrive Johannesburg An A&K greeting on arrival into the safari gateway of Southern Africa with assistance to your airport hotel.
Airport Sun Inter-Continental
This morning make your own way back to the international terminal for your flight to Zambia. A light aircraft flight from Lusaka to Mfuwe and a two hour drive takes you into the remote wilds of the Zambian bush. This afternoon head out on your first safari (B,L,D).
Puku Ridge Tented Camp
Two days of discovery in the South Luangwa, with a choice on how you wish to explore it.
Awakenearly for asunrise game drive. Your safari guide will introduce the untouched park, bringing exciting wildlife photographic opportunities. Elephant, lion, wild dog, buffalo and a wide variety of antelopes reside in this area as does the regal leopard. Keep a look out for the South Luangwa’s endemic species, the Thornicroft giraffe and Cookson’s wildebeest. Drive along the Luangwa river banks to see the vibrant Carmine bee-eaters nesting in the walls. Take an afternoon safari drive, enjoying sundowners at sunset, before finishing the day with a night drive. The South Luangwa is the traditional home of the walking safari, a must try for a different perspective of the bush (B,L,D)
Puku Ridge Tented Camp
A flight across the country to the confluence of Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe where the mighty Zambezi River rushes over the escarpmentand becomesVictoria Falls. You areaccommodated in a Treehouse on the banks of the Zambezi, up river from the Falls in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park (B,L,D).
Sussi& Chuma Lodge
Theday is yours to discover the beauty of the Zambezi. Sussi & Chuma Lodge includes a variety of activities.A guided tour of the Zambian side of Victoria Falls;avisit to the Semonga village; game drives in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park - home to the rare white rhino; early morning or sunset boat trips on the river or fishing (B,L,D).
Sussi & Chuma Lodge
A good-bye from A&K as you finish your ‘Wings Over Zambia’ safari with a transfer to Livingstone airport (B).
