Itinerary
Day 01 Phnom Penh
A private A&K welcome awaits your arrival and the afternoon is spent touring the Cambodian capital with visits to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda and the National Museum which houses the world’s foremost collection of ancient Khmer artefacts.

Day 02 Phnom Penh-Siem Reap
More to see this morning with a stop at the Russian Market, Wat Phnom and Tuol Sleng genocide museum for a confronting but meaningful insight into the horrors of the Pol Pot era. A&K also takes you to visit the Sunrise Children’s village before a short flight north to Siem Reap. During your stay meet Australian expat, Darryl Collins, for an introduction to Khmer art (B,L).

Days 03-04 Design Your Days Siem Reap
Two whole days to discover the many temples and sites making up the World Heritage listed Angkor complex. A full day is given to exploring the most important monuments of the ancient Angkor kingdom including Angkor Wat, the Bayon, the Elephant Terrace, the jungle temple of Ta Prohm and the fortified royal city of Angkor Thom. In addition a boat trip on Tonle Sap lake gives good insight into the lives of the villagers dwelling in the simple stilted structures on the lakeshores. Also recommended is a visit to the Rolous Group of temples which date from the late 9th century. This is the earliest site of the 600 year Angkor period that is open to visitors and takes a whole day culminating in sunset at Angkor Wat (B,L).

Day 05 Depart Siem Reap
Your Cambodia stay finishes at the airport (B).
