This prestigious and luxurious villa sits in an enviable location, just 2 kilometres from the port of Ischia, its grounds covering the entire promontory and stretching down to the sea. There is semi-private access to the sea, about 1.5 kms from the villa, and there is a thermal bath complex, Terme Castiglione, about 800 metres away. Lying below Mt Montaione, it is totally private, surrounded by high trees and greenery. The views are incredible, over the sea, extending from Capri to the northern part of the Bay of Naples and the island of Procida. This very special property has hosted VIPs from all over the world for decades, and with its great outdoor spaces, it is particularly suitable for weddings and other special events.

The property is divided into six different units, sleeping up to 25 people in total. The two main villas, Villa Contessa and Villa Marilena, sleep 13 in total. All the buildings are in beautiful natural stone, as well as some of the terraces and walking paths, which are lit up at night. The lush gardens are filled with pine and olive trees, palm trees, cactus plants and pots of flowers and lemon trees. The terraces are furnished with wrought iron furniture. The swimming pool (6 x 4.5m) is on a terrace close to Villa Contessa, furnished with table and chairs and sun loungers, and there is another seating area on an adjacent bougainvillea-covered terrace. This entire area has stunning views over the entire promontory, and the port at Ischia. A further outdoor dining area seats 10 and, to the rear of Villa Contessa, is another terrace giving access to Villa Marilena. An outdoor kitchen on another level is equipped with a pizza oven, barbecue and fridge.

The interior of Villa Contessa has been very elegantly decorated and furnished. The large living room has a beautiful antique terracotta and marble tiled floor, two fireplaces and is furnished with antique furniture, lamps and paintings. Villa Marilena is more simple and modern, with whitewashed walls, white tiled floors and all the rooms open to terraces. The additional accommodation is in four independent buildings. There are two separate suites, Santina and O’Padrone, and two small apartments, Capri and Procida.
