This stunning property has been imaginatively renovated to the highest of standards from a cluster of traditional Puglian 'trulli', the 18th century white cone shaped dwellings for which the region is known. It is set in 2.5 acres of rolling olive groves, in the Itria valley between the towns of Cisternino and Ostuni. Facing west, the property benefits from beautiful sunsets. The villa is approximately 20 minutes drive from the Adriatic coast and 40 minutes from the Ionian coast, both offering sandy beaches, safe swimming, watersports and scuba diving. Other activities in the area include golf, walking, cycling and horse riding. There are is an excellent choice of restaurants, trattorias, osterias and bars in the surrounding towns and villages, all within a 20 minute drive of the villa and exceptionally good value.

In harmony with its surroundings, there is a distinct North African influence to the design of both the exterior and interior of the villa. Just outside the house is a large shaded patio overlooking the pool and the view and with deep built-in seating plump pillows and cool kilims, a perfect place for relaxing in the shade. An outdoor dining room and kitchen, just outside the sitting area, has an original stone table, sink, preparation bench and built-in barbecue. The landscaped oasis-inspired pool terrace features desert-inspired palms, cycads and Mediterranean lavender. The swimming pool (12 x 6m) too is impeccably styled, with a softened beach-style edge, underwater lighting and chemical-free filtration system. Sun mattresses and pool towels are provided and there is an outside shower.

The luxurious and stylish interior is a successful blend of modern minimalist glamour with the traditional features of the original trulli. Attention has been given to every detail, from the gleaming stainless steel kitchen appliances set in rough natural stone to the smooth, polished concrete bathrooms in cool neutral tones with fluffy white towels and subtle lighting. The spacious, cool bedrooms, with traditional barrel-vaulted or coned ceilings, are furnished in warm Moorish colours, and have large comfortable beds with crisp white linen. Amenities include flat screen television, DVD player, mp3 Compatible Music System and fans in the bedrooms. A baby cot (60 x 90 cm) and high chair are available and there is covered car parking for two cars. Although there is no telephone landline at the villa, mobile phone coverage is extensive and clear.
