VILLA NISIDE - Amalfi Coast

This delightful villa is situated high above the sea in a prestigious location on the edge of Positano. The charming and lively town centre is about 1.5 kilometres away, with its many excellent restaurants, shops and beaches. From its position on a steep slope, there are sweeping views across the bay of Positano towards Punta Campanella. 120 steps lead from the main entrance down to the public beach, from where boat rental is possible. Access to the property is by a winding staircase down 130 steps. There is a local bus stop at the entrance to the stairs leading down to the villa.

The property entrance leads to a large garden terrace surrounded by bougainvillea vines and scented orange trees. The terrace has beautiful ornamental pots filled with flowers, as well as statues and bronze sculptures. A covered outdoor dining area has a marble topped, wrought-iron table and 8 chairs. A built-in bench lines the terrace and small tables and wrought-iron chairs allow for cocktail space and extra seating. The swimming pool is set in the garden, against a setting of flowers, orange trees and bougainvillea.

The elegantly furnished interiors have a warm and inviting ambience. The spacious living/dining room has high vaulted ceilings, terracotta tiled floor and is furnished with antique furniture, bronze sculptures, paintings and decorative lamps. Both areas have large open fireplaces and French doors opening to the terrace. Both the dining room and terrace are ideal places to enjoy the superb meals provided by the cook. Amenities include satellite TV, DVD, stereo, telephone/fax, central heating and air conditioning (only in the first floor bedrooms). A second independent annex below the villa, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, is available on request. This is sometimes used by the property owner, but is completely separate, 20 steps down from the ground level of the main villa.

First Floor
2 spacious double bedrooms, one opening to a terrace with wonderful views. 2 bathrooms, one with bath and the other with shower.

A maid and cook take care of the villa 6 days a week. Porter service is available on request at no extra charge.
