Remarkables mountains climb a mile high, seemingly from the lodge grounds. Every day the mountains appear in a different form – sharp peaks silhouetted by the sun or hiding coyly behind wispy clouds, burnished by the setting sun or sugar coated with a brushing of snow. Sink into a sumptuous sofa, enjoy a glass of wine on your balcony or find a quiet corner of the garden and relax in the shade as you watch them transform.
Luxurious bedrooms, stylish bathrooms and spacious seating areas create a comfortable relaxing environment where you'll feel totally at home, and completely spolied - dip into the cookie jar and find it inexplicably replenished with homemade biscuits. Luxuriate in a bath filled with water from our mountain waterfall. Lodge Rooms
There are three comfortable lodge rooms, two have mountain views and one looks towards Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown. All are ensuite (one has a spa bath/shower and the other two have showers). Two of the rooms have superking/twin beds and one has a queen bed.
Lodge Suites
The Lodge suites all include an ensuite bathroom with claw-footed bath and separate shower. All suites have mountain views and 2 suites also face Lake Wakatipu
Wakatipu Suite
Enjoy warm afternoons and beautiful sunsets from this luxurious suite with superking/twin bed, large ensuite bathroom with bath and shower, relaxing armchairs, and spacious balcony.
Remarkables Suite Wake up to the sunrise over the mountains from this lovely suite that offers a king bed, ensuite bathroom with bath and shower, comfortable seating area and a superb view from the balcony.
Jardine Suite
This spacious suite, facing north, offers sunny, luxurious accommodation with a superking/twin bed and ample sitting area with armchair and sofa bed, ensuite bathroom with bath and shower and two balconies looking towards the mountains and the lake.
Garden Suite
This charming suite located in the garden adjacent to the house was originally the shepherd's cottage and offers privacy and seclusion. It has a separate lounge with a sofa bed, a bedroom with a king bed, a large bathroom with separate shower and spa bath, and a private patio with direct access to the garden.

Lodge-Air-Rail-Trail Cycling Package
Queenstown has a huge range of options for cyclists from heli biking to downhill mountain thrills, but the appeal of the Otago Rail Trail is its combination of adventure and fun, a bit of local history, and spectacular scenery not seen from the highways, including the Poolburn Gorge, across viaducts and through tunnels and it doesn't have to be a 12 hour day. The trip takes 4-5 hours and it's a great option for familes.
This package also includes a scenic return flight, landing on a grass farm strip near to the Rail Trail, and a gourmet picnic.

A Very Special Christmas in Queenstown
It would be hard to think of a town with more sparkle than Queenstown, as if it was designed to be a perfect location to spend Christmas.
And at Remarkables Lodge we have all the ingredients in place - sun, fun, superb dining and even our own reindeer in the grounds (actually fallow deer, but they look just like reindeer). Farm manager John is more than happy to walk you through the farm and explain the difference between these and the large red deer striding along the fence line.
Despite the long days of the southern hemisphere Christmas, the Christmas tree lights are in full glow and a special menu on Christmas Eve is followed by an elegant traditional Christmas Day dinner. Join other guests for this very social evening or enjoy a private special meal together. Toast marshmallows on the outside fireplace or sip champagne on your balcony and enjoy the stunning views.
To preserve the special atmosphere of Christmas at the Lodge there is a 3-night minimum stay and no arrivals or departures on Christmas Day.

Guided Walk
A half-day guided walk in Mt Aspiring National Park surrounded by stunning native Beech forest and inquisitive birdlife. Interpretive commentary reveals the hidden wonders of this slice of NZ wilderness. The walk may be to Sylvan Lake or take in part of the Routeburn, depending on the weather.
4WD personalised adventure tours to the NZ backcountry
A half day scenic 4WD safari featuring stunning scenery (and LOTR fans will be able to identify film locations). Enjoy short walks,4WD fun, native flora & fauna, entertaining commentary and a complimentary refreshment.
