SQ was, as usual, excellent. We were 10kgs over on the return but nothing said. We both preferred the Business Class on the 777 to the A380. Bit more room and better overhead storage. The SQ lounge in Singapore was really good.
We had four excellent flights with SIA and especially the Airbus A380 from Melbourne to Singapore. The A380 makes all other modern commercial aircraft seem noisy in comparison. All four flights were on time and the ground and airborne service standards were exemplary. The B777-300 business class cabins were almost as good as the A380's and are far better than those in the "old" B777-200 aircraft.
Although SIA's prices tend to be a little higher than other competing airlines on the Australia-Europe routes, their early booking special offer prices help make SIA the first airline to be considered for our trip planning. Etihad won for our next trip in August/September due to better pricing. However for our next annual trip to the UK in mid 2011 we will inevitably consider SIA first.......and if the price is competitive they will have our booking.
My thanks for your help with our recent trip with SIA and good luck to First Class Travel.
Kind Regards,
The trip has been great. I was hugely impressed with Singapore Airlines A380 - it is far far better than any other business class I have been on.
We were very happy with Singapore Airlines Biz Class, service,
entertainment, food were terrific.
Only comment is that they give you a fast track card to get through customs
"faster"
Both arriving and departing U.K. the fast track line was much much slower
than the regular queues and we were actually made to go through them because
we had a fast track card which seems a big crazy,
As far as the airline goes though, nothing but praise.
