Amazing Vietnam Holiday & Great Vietnam Airlines Experience

We really appreciate your help planning our trip, and we had an amazing time.

With regards to Anantara Quy Nhon, it’s a beautiful resort and very peaceful, stunning beach views and great amenities. Also very helpful, attentive staff. The restaurant had heaps of variety and high quality offerings for breakfast and dinner. Quy Nhon is probably not the first place most Australians flock to, it is a small town, much quieter than the major cities and an ideal place to rest and recuperate as opposed to exploring nightlife. The resort is an hour’s drive from the local airport (Phu Cat), but very scenic. The area has rich history well worth exploring- we booked a day trip with the hotel and had a great experience.

Vietnam Airlines business class was great. The service and food is top notch, and amenities are quite good. If there was anything to “complain” about: the in flight entertainment options aren’t as extensive as Singapore Airlines, for example; this is a very minor con vs many pros. Flatbed made for a comfortable few hours sleep as well. The Lotus Lounge in Ho Chi Minh is pretty good- the equivalent in Melbourne airport is a shared lounge as Vietnam Airlines doesn’t have its own- also a very small drawback when considering the price point.

On our return flights, the luggage was checked in all the way to Melbourne from Phu Cat, which was great- another good thing about Vietnam Airlines, it’s probably best not to book with the smaller local airlines because you’d have to pick up your luggage and check it in again otherwise.

Ho Chi Minh is a chaotic airport, probably worth having a transfer ready to the hotel so you don’t get fleeced by unofficial taxis (this is probably not an issue for seasoned travellers). The ibis Saigon airport was comfortable for a brief stay in between flights and a very reasonable price.

Australians need an online visa, it’s best to apply 2-3 weeks in advance as it takes a few business days to process- it’s not “instant” like Bali etc.

We will definitely come to you the next time we plan a holiday.

Latest Experience On Qantas & Ba First Class + Qantas Business

Recently travelled on Qantas first class Sydney to Singapore, BA first class Singapore to London and return, Qantas business class Singapore to Sydney. Qantas first was great, bed is the best on the sky, service excellent, food good, lounge very good! BA first was comfortable; lounge in London excellent, lounge in Singapore good, food not great, service good; Plane was well fitted. Qantas Bus was very good as usual.
