Yangshuo, Southern China

Yangshuo is a scenic riverside destination in southern China, best known for its dramatic karst mountain landscapes and the winding Li River that cuts through lush valleys and limestone peaks.

It has a calm, countryside atmosphere compared to nearby Guilin, with wide-open rice fields, bamboo groves, and traditional villages set against striking stone towers rising from the ground. The region is especially popular for cycling, bamboo rafting, rock climbing, and slow travel experiences that highlight its natural beauty.

At sunrise and sunset, the mist often drifts between the mountains, creating a soft, almost painterly landscape that has made Yangshuo one of the most photographed rural destinations in China.
