Itinerary

Day One

Arrival & Sightseeing around Yangon

Mingalar bar! you will be welcomed by our Guide at Airport and transferred to hotel.

In the afternoon, start your sightseeing with a visit to the massive reclining Buddha at Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda.Then proceeds to the Kandawgyi Park, a green oasis of Yangon. Photo stop at the royal floating barge named Karaweik Palace. In the evening, visit to the World famous golden stupa, Shwedagon Pagoda – the golden dome rises 98 meters above its base and is cover with 60 tons of pure gold. At the pagoda, you can observe local pilgrims offering their devotions.Enjoy the amazing sunset view from the vantage point of Pagoda.

Overnight stay in Yangon.

Day Two

Yangon- Golden Rock

Today we will drive out of Yangon to visit Kyaiktiyo Pagoda.  On the way, we will stop at Bago,an ancient capital of Mon Kingdom, which is famous for its traditional cheroot industry. Take visits to the Mon-style Shwemawdaw Pagoda – the tallest pagoda in Myanmar which can be seen from around 10 kilometers outside of the city. Proceed to Kyaikhtiyo(Golden Rock), a well-known Buddhist pilgrimage site in Myanmar. It is a small pagoda (7.3 metres (24 ft)) built on the top of a granite boulder covered with gold leaves pasted on by devotees. According to legend, the Golden Rock itself is precariously perched on a strand of the Buddha’s hair. The balancing rock seems to defy gravity, as it perpetually appears to be on the verge of rolling down the hill. Arrive at Kinmon Base Camp in the afternoon and transfer to a local truck to drive up to the terminal near the Golden Rock Pagoda (1–hour drive). Evening, visit the amazing Kyaiktiyo (Golden Rock) Pagoda and watch the spectacular sunset from the edge. Afterwards, explore the local shops in the area.

Day Three

Kyaiktiyo – Bago –Yangon

Enjoy the sunrise from Golden Rock, top of the mountain. After breakfast, we walk for 30mins to reach Kyee Kan Pa Sat (Crow’s mouth Cave); an important place of worship for the local people. On the way we will pass by some local handicrafts selling local produce. Midmorning we will return Yangon via Bago through rice fields and small towns. At Bago, we visit to the massive 55-metre long Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha and the four seated Buddhas. Complete the day by a visit to the local market and drive back to Yangon.

Day Four

Yangon-Bagan / Sightseeing in Bagan

This morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. Drive to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway of Inle Lake. Full-day tour of beautiful Inle Lake which is referred as the Venice of Asia, featuring stilt houses and villages, floating gardens, fishermen using ancient techniques such as leg-rowing, and, on the shores, workshops of traditional artisans, e.g. weavers and cigar-makers. Also included are visits to sanctuaries such as Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and Nga Phe Chaung Monastery.

Day Five

Indein

After breakfast, visit to the colorful local market around Inle lake, where villagers from the surrounding area sell their products. Continue your exploration to the western banks of the lake and travel down a small canal to Indein – a Pa-Oh village which is known for its stupa-covered hill with 1,054 stupas constructed between the 17th and the 18th centuries. Spend time exploring Indein on foot, strolling around the village, visiting a local school and making your way to the top of the hill where you can wander amid the weather-beaten stupas and enjoy magnificent views of the lake below.

Day Six

Indein – Mandalay

Today leave Inle lake for the flight to Mandalay, the last royal city of Myanmar Kingdom. Upon arrival, we will start the sightseeing to Sagaing which has over 600 Buddhist monasteries where monks and nuns study and meditate. Visit pagodas such as Swan Oo Pon Nya Shin and U Min Thone Sae. Stop at the local market, Silverware cottage industry, clay pot making and Nunnery to learn the daily life of Buddhist nuns. Next on this day tour is Amarapura, known as the City of Immortality. Visit Mahagandaryone Monastery which is the best place to experience the daily lives of the monks. After that, we will walk over the U Bein, the longest teakwood Bridge in the world. Complete the day with the visit Mahamuni Buddha Image – a bronze Buddha image castled during the life time of Buddha himself.

Day Seven

Mandalay & Mingun

This morning, transfer to the jetty for a pleasant boat ride upriver to Mingun. Upon arrival, explore the ruins of the vast Mingun Pagoda. Continue to the beautiful Hsinbyume Paya and the Mingun Bell, weighting 87 tons and being the world’s largest intact bronze bell. Sail back to Mandalay.In the afternoon, we will visit Mandalay Palace, Shwenandaw Monastery – noted for its exquisite woodcarvings, gold leaf beating workshop and Kuthodaw Pagoda – known for containing the world’s largest book and conclude the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the sunset and the panoramic view of the city.

Day Eight

Mandalay – Mt Popa – Bagan

After breakfast, leave Mandalay and 4 hours drive to Bagan. On the way we will visit Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with the spectacular views and the birth place of Myanmar Nats (sprits). At the foot of mountain, you could observe Nat Shrine contains a display of mannequin like figures representing the 37 Nat and is a major pilgrimage destination. Stop at a local palm tree plantation and a typical Local Village. This relaxing break will give you the chance to observe the local working life. In the late afternoon we will arrive Bagan and transfer to hotel.

Day Nine

Bagan                                                         

Today is the comprehensive tour of the beautiful ancient city of Bagan, one of Myanmar’s premier historical and cultural centres, home to more than 2,000 temples and pagodas. Our tour includes shrines such as Ananda, Htilominlo, Thatbyinnyu, Dhammayangyi, Sulamani, and Shwezigon Pagoda, plus secular sights such as Nyaung U market and traditional workshops.

Stay overnight at Bagan.

Day Ten

Bagan – Yangon  

After early breakfast, explore the remaining highlights of Bagan by horse cart through the less visited temples. You can stop to explore some hidden gems of Bagan. In the evening transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Yangon.
