SWISS has opened the doors to the new Zurich First Lounge A and it is luxurious throughout.

Guests can enjoy exclusive check-in facilities and the lounge’s own security checkpoint. The highlight of the new 650-square-metre space is an a la carte restaurant and a barista bar offering speciality Swiss grappas and further fruit brandies.

To compliment the new Zurich First Lounge, SWISS is also providing a chauffeur service for inbound passengers to Zurich for the European summer. The first class offerings are available to SWISS first class passengers and HON Circle Members of the Lufthansa Group.

The new Zurich First Lounge is located in Zurich Airport’s Terminal A departure concourse and is accessible via an escalator. The lounge will be open from 05:30 to 22:30 daily.

The design mirrors the existing SWISS First Lounge in the airport’s Terminal E with a range of seating areas available including lounge suites, leather sofas, a lounge club, a business zone, and meeting room. The facility also boasts a relaxation room with two loungers, and a smokers’ lounge that offers a selection of fine whiskies and comes with its own outside area.

The interior design speaks luxury and exclusivity with a bright oil-oak parquet floor, Jura limestone walls, and fine furnishings courtesy of slick SWISS designers such as Vitra and de Sede.

The extensive barista bar takes pride of place in the new SWISS First Lounge A where guests can sample specialty coffee while culinary options include an a la carte restaurant as well as a buffet-style selection, so customers can choose to be waited upon or opt for self-service.

The SWISS First Lounge A is designed for short-haul travellers therefore those travelling long-haul will be transported by limousine to the SWISS First Lounge in Terminal E. The new chauffeur service, available during the European summer, is available for travellers arriving in Terminal E, Terminal B, or at a remote aircraft stand. Passengers will be collected from the aircraft door and taken directly to the relevant passport security control in Terminal A or B.
